A very exciting and rather atypical presentation at the Berliner Salon during Fashion Week Berlin was the cooperation of a contemporary art gallery and the over one year ago founded Kollektiv Ignaz. MCM and KÖNIG SOUVENIR fused aesthetic elements of Berlin chique with the lush, intoxicating beauty of Miami to create an iconic evening for the art world’s cross-continental jet set. The program’s focus is on interdisciplinary, concept-oriented and space-based approaches in a variety of media including sculpture, video, sound, painting, printmaking, photography and performance. The two pieces consist of a white long sleeve logo shirt and a classic and minimalistic black and white soccer scarf. KÖNIG GALERIE was founded by Johann König in 2002, and currently represents 30 international, emerging and established artists, mostly belonging to a younger generation.
